Browsers and devices
NanoGig needs Web Bluetooth, which only some browsers have.
| Device | Browser | Live display | Control and edit | Preset switching |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Laptop or desktop | Chrome or Edge | yes | yes | yes |
| Android phone or tablet | Chrome | yes | yes | yes |
| iPhone or iPad | Bluefy | yes | yes | yes |
Not supported: Firefox and Safari (on any device) have no Web Bluetooth.
Installing it as an app
Section titled “Installing it as an app”- Android: Chrome’s menu → Add to Home screen. NanoGig then opens full screen in landscape, like an app.
- Desktop Chrome or Edge: the install icon in the address bar.
The installed app is the same web page; it updates itself when a new version is released.
Preset switching
Section titled “Preset switching”Everything, preset switching included, works over Bluetooth alone. If a pedal on different firmware ignores the Bluetooth preset command, the app falls back to a MIDI Program Change over USB, which needs a browser with Web MIDI (Chrome or Edge on a computer) and the pedal connected by USB.
Pedal firmware
Section titled “Pedal firmware”NanoGig is tested on the Nano Cortex’s NanOS 2.2.1. Other versions may show wrong values or not connect. If something looks off, see Troubleshooting.
Release and preview versions
Section titled “Release and preview versions”johnnyborjomi.github.io/NanoGig is the released app and only changes when a version is released. A preview of the newest changes lives at johnnyborjomi.github.io/NanoGig-staging and installs as a separate “NanoGig β” app.
