Screen features

NanoGig Screen has the same gig view as the NanoGig app, laid out for a small touchscreen.

  • The active preset name in big type and its bank label (3B), with IA / IB / IIA / IIB badges when the preset is on one of the pedal’s footswitches.
  • The five FX blocks with their model names, lit in Cortex Cloud’s category colours.
  • Capture and IR names with on/off dots, the gate state and the tempo.
  • ◀ ▶ beside the name switch presets. Hold either for the presets list.
  • Rename: long-press the preset name (or a row in the list) for a keyboard. The pedal stores the new name at once.
  • Tap an FX tile to turn the block on or off.
  • Tap GATE for on/off; hold it for the threshold.

Hold an FX tile. The first page shows the effect type (hold it to choose another type the slot takes) and the model (hold it for that type’s models), with on/off. The next pages hold the parameters, three a page, with sliders and − / + buttons. Double-tap a value for the model’s default.

Edits are live, like turning a knob on the pedal. An effect that is off can be edited too: its controls are grey and you hear the change once it is on. The pedal’s save button keeps your changes; EXIT on the pedal reverts them and the screen follows.

Long-press the capture or IR line. Tabs in the header switch between capture and IR.

  • Under the name: where the one playing is stored (Bank 2 • Slot 1, an IR Slot 3, or ★ Preset slot for the preset’s own).
  • Bank: the pedal’s five capture banks (or its five IR slots), plus the preset’s own ★. Tap one to select it.
  • Lib: every capture or IR on the pedal, in User and Factory tabs. Tap one to hear it; tap again to stop. Use asks where it goes: play it from a slot that holds it already, save it to the preset’s own slot, or replace the capture or IR in a slot. Replacing writes to the pedal’s slot right away, with no undo.
  • Folders of your own, kept on the screen: + Folder, hold an item to move it.
  • Capture: volume. The i shows the capture’s type, author, gain, tags and description.
  • IR: phase, level, high pass and low pass, plus microphone and position for factory IRs.
  • Disconnect / Connect: hand the pedal to Cortex Cloud without powering the screen off.
  • Settings (two tabs, below).
  • Tempo: big BPM with − / +, following the pedal’s tap tempo live.
  • Tuner: note, cents, the pedal’s reference pitch and its mute. A tuner started on the pedal opens it too.
  • Expression pedal (page 2): what the expression pedal moves on this preset. Tap a target to assign it, set its range (Low, High, Inverted) or its switch behaviour, or remove it. The pedal’s save keeps the change.

Nano Cortex tab (green): every setting on Cortex Cloud’s settings page, written straight to the pedal: mute outputs and input, sum to mono, IR bypass, 4-Preset Mode, catch knobs, trails, LED brightness, the EXP/MIDI jack, MIDI channel, MIDI Thru, clock source, USB playback volume, expression pedal recalibration, the device name, and the pedal’s firmware version and serial number. Greyed out until the pedal has reported its settings. Factory reset stays in Cortex Cloud.

NanoGig tab (orange): presets per bank and label style, the expression indicators; page 2: display rotation and brightness; page 3: firmware version and updates.

  • The pedal takes one Bluetooth connection at a time. Close Cortex Cloud and the NanoGig app, or use Menu → Disconnect to hand the pedal over to them.
  • NanoGig Screen is tested on pedal firmware NanOS 2.2.1. Other versions may show wrong values.
