Updating the firmware
NanoGig Screen updates itself over Wi-Fi. Your settings, folders and remembered preset names stay.
Check for updates
Section titled “Check for updates”- Menu (≡) → Settings → NanoGig tab → page 3 → Check for updates.
- The screen lets go of the pedal and turns Bluetooth off while it uses Wi-Fi.
- The first time, pick your network from the list and type its password. The screen remembers it.
- If a different version is available, tap Install. The screen downloads it and restarts.
Closing the update page also restarts the screen, which brings Bluetooth back and reconnects to the pedal.
If an update goes wrong
Section titled “If an update goes wrong”The screen keeps the previous version until the new one has started properly. If a new version fails to start, the screen goes back to the previous one by itself.
Boards and updates
Section titled “Boards and updates”Every supported board gets its own firmware file. Over-the-air updates for the 3.5” and 4.3” boards start with the first release that publishes files for them.
Reinstalling
Section titled “Reinstalling”To reinstall from scratch, for example after flashing other firmware onto the board or if a screen no longer starts, use the web installer from Chrome or Edge on a computer. A full install resets the screen’s Wi-Fi network and settings, so you pick the network again the next time you check for updates.
